Journal of Applied Learning in Higher Education

 

JALHE serves the international community of scholars engaged in applied learning at institutions of higher education. Its purpose is to advance scholarship on applied learning by providing an outlet for empirical and theoretical work related to this pedagogical practice. (Roy is founding co-editor.)

Association for the Rhetoric of Science & Technology (ARST)

 

ARST is an international, independent organization of scholars and practitioners interested in communication within and about science and technology. ARST is affiliated with the National Communication Association and with the Rhetoric Society of America. (Roy served as President, 2009-2010.)

NCA is the oldest and largest scholarly organization dedicated to communication studies.

Carolinas Communication Association

 

CCA is the nationally recognized association for academics and practitioners in communication studies throughout North Carolina and South Carolina. (Roy is a past President and served in several elected offices.)

(Roy served 2008-2011, including 2 years as UNCG’s lead delegate, and was a member of the statewide Executive Committee 2009-2011.)
